If you truly want to
If you truly want to get "behind the scenes" with the characters from the Lord of the Rings, you should check out the Very Secret Diaries. From the diary of Gollum: "Attempt to infiltrate Council of Elrond in lawn ornament disguise unsuccessful. Was stashed in storage closet by annoying Glorfindel, where was trapped for hours while Elrond tried on all Arwen’s dresses in front of mirror, while muttering something about Legolas not being the prettiest after all. Miss days of yore, when men were men and dwarves were dwarves, and elves wore trousers."

Egad, William Shatner has a weblog? It was bad enough when Wesley Crusher came online, although at least he writes with a kind of simplistic honesty. Shatner's writing sounds like his Priceline.com beat poetry. "...we are all born with an awareness of death and each day brings us closer to it. That’s the joke that all humanity deals with. So we should go along with that irony and perplexing indecipherable humor. Then you become part of that grand laugh we call life." Hey what would get if you crossed williamshatner.com with shirleymclain.com? Must. Stop. Laughing.
